Who are The Wellington Dolphins2019-01-11T15:45:00-04:00

The Wellington Pool is the home pool for the Wellington Dolphins Swim Team. As with any sports event there are home and away swim meets. Usually, swim meets are held on Saturday mornings and consist of seasonal and regional events.

On seasonal event dates the pool will open at 1:00 pm.
On regional event dates the pool opens at 3:00 pm.

***Swim Meet dates are posted on the front page of this website as soon as they are received from the Dolphin Swim Team.***

While the local Public High School is in full session:

Monday 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Tuesday to Friday 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Saturdays/Holidays 11:00 am to 8:00 pm
Sunday 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm

When the local Public High School concludes its regular school year:

Sunday to Thursday 11:00 am to 8:00 pm
Friday and Saturday 11:00 am to 9:00 pm
Fourth of July 11:00 am to 6:00 pm
Labor Day 11:00 am to 8:00 pm

The Pool closes for the season on Labor Day.

    • Checks should be made out to Wellington Community

    • Checks should be made out to Wellington Community
    • Please include the payment coupon or write your account number on the check

How Do I Get A Pool Pass2019-01-06T02:01:16-04:00

To obtain a new pass you must present a valid Virginia Drivers license or Virginia State ID card showing your Wellington address. Children of school age must provide a copy of their most recent report card. Children over 16 will be able to show a Virginia drivers license or State ID card. All children 18 and under must be accompanied by a parent. Children’s pool passes will not be issued unless a parent is present. Children, 5 years of age or older, will need to have a picture taken and pass issued.

Initial passes are provided at no cost. Replacement passes for passes that are lost or stolen; mutilated or damaged cost $6.00 to replace. All payments must be by check or money order. NO CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED

If your child has risen to another level, you will not be charged for the new badge provided the old badge is turned in.

If you have an electronic facilities pass (pool pass) issued after 2010, you do not need to do anything to obtain a new pass. The same pass will be used every year and will be valid as long as you are an owner in Wellington and are in good standing.

If you have lost or misplaced your pass, or your pass is damaged you will need to obtain a new pass. As stated above there is a $6.00 charge to replace a pass.

If you did not receive a pass in 2009 or 2010, and still need one, you can come by the office to have your picture taken and your pass issued.

How Do I Get A Guest Pool Pass2019-01-06T02:03:33-04:00

Each household can receive one free guest pass per season. You may pick up your guest pass during office hours or during the special hours listed for pool passes.

There are 25 free punches on the pass. If you need an additional guest pass, they can be purchased at the community center office, during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 9 am till 5 pm) the cost is $20.00.

Please be advised that the office cannot accept cash. Payments must be by check or money order only. Any remaining punches on the immediate prior year guest pass can be used as well.

Can I Use The Pool If I Am Renting A Wellington Property2019-01-06T02:10:35-04:00

If you are a renter in the Wellington community, your landlord will need to release his/her rights to the use of Wellington facilities before you will be able to obtain a pool pass to use the pool. Each year your landlord will need to forward a completed release form along with the current copy of your lease to the onsite office.

If you are a Tenant and you were a member of the pool last year your pool pass has been put on hold pending receipt of this year’s paperwork from your landlord.

Can I Use The Pool If I Am Late On Assessments2019-01-06T02:08:18-04:00

Whether you are an owner or a tenant, please remember, the governing documents require that assessments need to be paid to date (good standing) for you to be able to utilize the facilities and pool in Wellington.

Passes will not be issued to any resident or household whose assessments are not paid up to date. Access to the pool will be denied if your assessments are not paid to date.
